Especially for group outings, corporate events, and relationship events, we have developed fun routes. These can sometimes also be driven individually.
Route 1: Industrial Heritage Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe
This route takes you along the industrial history of the north. From the city of Groningen via the Ommelanden to the former prison colony Veenhuizen and the historic flour mill in Appelscha. Highlight is the gas storage facility at Langelo and the return drive via the Hoge der Aa in Groningen.
Optional: Heritage guide in Veenhuizen (€350) for a tour through the fascinating history of the Colonies of Benevolence (UNESCO World Heritage).
Route 2: Groningen Borgen Route in Groningen - The Grain Republic
Experience the wealth of Groningen history along 4 iconic stops:
- Aduard Monastery: The cradle of Groningen agriculture
- Borg Verhildersum: Complete museum with authentic gardens and farms
- Noordpolderzijlvest: The smallest seaport in the Netherlands with unique views of the Wadden Sea
- Menkemaborg: One of the best preserved borgen (manor houses)
Lunch possible at Borg Verhildersum or Noordpolderzijlvest. Tours or heritage guides can be booked at both borgen.
Route 3: Picnic & Wine Tasting Route
The most relaxed option: a beautiful drive via Hoogkerk to nature reserve Natuurschoon near Nietap, where you'll picnic in nature. The route continues via Zevenhuizen, Tolbert, Den Ham and Zuidhorn back to Groningen.

Route 4: Hogeland Route
Shortest route via Bedum, Onderdendam, Warffum and Pieterburen. Lunch at Waddengenot in Pieterburen.

(bookable from July 1, 2026)
An interactive team outing experience where you drive along local shops to collect ingredients for a joint cooking workshop afterwards. From the professional Meinardi shop in Noordbroek to an organic farmer and goat keeper in Oudestreek.

For Braak Advocaten, we created a custom route. We then discuss with the company their wishes regarding theme and challenges. The cost for this is €500 one-time.
